With lean construction and a responsive fit, the PureCadence 2 rethinks how support technology is engineered. Features such as internal PDRB help prevent overpronation without added parts, and the wide Nav Band holds your foot like an endless hug. Add fresh looks and some street cred, and this featherweight friend will run footloose and fancy-free with you.
Brooks holds PureProject to the industry’s highest wear test and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.
The split toe enhances forefoot flexibility and independently empowers the big toe to engage the runner’s natural stability and power during push-off.
Brooks’ signature, slimmed-down heel encourages contact points to shift forward, which aligns the joints and creates optimal energy return.
BiMoGo, Brooks’ Earth-friendly midsole technology, is blended with patent-pending Brooks DNA adaptable cushioning.
Designed from an anatomical form, the shoe’s shape contours the foot to provide true support and glove-like feel.
This elastic band wraps over the instep and provides a comfortable, assured fit regardless of foot shape.
Embrace the minimalist spirit without jeopardizing the support your foot demands. With the PureCadence, you can have the best of both worlds. While on the leaner side, this PureProject shoe packs in some great stability features to ward off overpronation while an extra-wide Nav Band puts that just-right amount grip on your foot. The PureCadence boasts a flare on the arch side of the shoe that adds additional steadiness to your closer-to-the-ground ride. Unlike barefoot shoes, the PureProject line allows for a seamless transition from your everyday trainers to a lower drop shoe.

Last year I got back into running with the Pure Flow but knew that I pronate a little and should get a little motion control. I loved the Pure Flow and was nervous about the mixed reviews I saw on the Cadence. I also went up a half size, in plans of adding some long runs in training, in this shoe. I have been pleased so far and my fears melted away on my first run. I have only run about 20 miles in these, as I just got them, but so far so good and they are meeting my high expectations. No slippage, plenty of room, plenty of support (high arch) and comfy cushioning. Brooks has earned a repeat customer in me. If I had logged more miles in these, to truly get a good idea of how great they are, I would have given them the full five stars. Maybe. But so far so good, no complaints, happy running, happy feet!
Great light-weight stability shoe!
I am a huge Brooks fan! I began running in the Adrenaline for my pronation, then decided to try a lighter weight shoe that still offered stability. I wore the first Pure Cadence shoe and loved it, except for the tongue of the shoe moving. They've fixed that with the Pure Cadence 2, so no complaints what so ever! I ran my first half marathon in these shoes and had no issues!
