Men's Brooks Trance 11

'm a 265 lbs. former rugby player with neck and lower back issues. I got these shoes to help stop the aches and pains along my spine that have plagued my running ever since I stopped playing rugby due to injury. I could not be happier with these shoes. They REALLY absorb the impact of the pavement, and help my neck stay pain free the day after a run. If you need extra padding on your feet to help you avoid pain, these are the right ones for you.

Right out the box I put in a 7 Mile Run.. They were everyting I thought they'd be and more. I have never ever owned any other running shoe then Brooks. Keep up the great work. :)

I'm a distance runner that needs a lot of support/stability control. I've worn-out 3 pairs of Adrenalines and one pair of the Trance 10s. This is my favorite shoe yet. They somehow make it feel really solid and very cushioned at the same time. I picked the yellow ones to go with my Nightlife jacket. I was delightfully surprised to see that the Brooks logo was actually shiny gold instead of yellow. Normally I don't like gold, but the bling looks REALLY good in person. As much as I like the yellow, I only wish they offered more color choices: I'm sure I will end up purchasing several pairs and I always like to get a different color when possible. I give the shoe top marks on feel alone. That said, the design is top-notch too. The shoes are covered with all kinds of very cool little details for you to discover and enjoy during your box-opening ritual :)

These are the best running shoes I have worn. I've been through Asics and Nike, but I prefer the fit and comfort of Brooks Trance 11. The only downside (slight) is that I find I wear through a pair of Brooks faster that I did Asics, but overall I highly recommend these shoes.

Finally a runners world editors choice shoe I can wear! Thank you Brooks for making your shoe in wide widths! I can't really find them anywhere else. I'm glad they had in mind the tubby guy who hates running because that's what I am! I need that extra padding and support.

Ten year Asics wearer, introduced to this shoe earlier in the year after issues with newer Kayanos. Average 30 to 40 miles a week...great shoe out the gate, little break in needed and buying a second pair. I used to wear script orthotics and just switched to newer, lighter version...both styles fit in shoe comfortably.
