Men's Merrell Sonic Glove

These shoes are definitely the best running shoes I have ever worn! I had word the Nike Free's before and these are a cut above. There was about a one week break in period that rubbed the Achilles part of my heal raw. It was a painful break in but well worth it now that they no longer rub. The soft shell outer material is great. I would recommend these over the mesh Trail Gloves if you plan on being in any grass as they will keep your feet dry. As far as temperature is concerned, my feet stay just right in these shoes and they breath good enough for me.

I bought these shoes specifically for CrossFit and they have been excellent! They have helped all aspects of my fitness - my running form and weight lifting. They are super light and perfect for CrossFit!!!

Love these. Tried VFFs first and I think they are brilliant, but for those of us who are a little shy about separating every toe, these Merrell's are wonderfully comfortable. Not for walking on concrete, but once I got on grass and trails, they are divine. I tried the trail gloves as well; the trail gloves are nearly the same as the sonics, I just liked the fit of the sonics. Don't want to take them off.

A little tighter and stiffer then the trail glove at first, but goes away with a couple of wearings. The tighter nylon weave helps keep dirt out better then the trail glove and the looser trail glove is great for water/trail routes where quick drying is a plus. Love them both!

To start off this shoe is a wonderful shoe. I love the colors, the weight, the feel, and running in them is awesome. They do get hot, but I do not mind my feet being hot, so it does not bother me. I also own a pair of the Vibram FiveFinger KSOs, and have been switching off running in the Merrells and the Vibrams. I prefer the Vibrams for short distances, and the Merrells on longer runs. The reason being is I have absolutely NO hot spots or any discomfort from the Merrell shoes, whereas I get some chafing that bothers me in my KSOs when I run long distances (5k+). My ONLY complaint is what everyone seems to love about this shoe and the Trail Glove, the wide toe box. I found that due to my sizing the toe box really isn't that wide. My toes hit on both sides of the toe box, but it doesn't bother me, just indicating what's going on with the way these shoes fit my feet. In sizing, I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 depending upon the cut of the shoe. I had to drop to a 10 in these because when I laced up the 10.5s the front of the shoe would bunch all up because they were too wide. There was also a TON of room in front of my toes in the 10.5s.
