Men's Merrell Trail Glove

Wow, what a product! Received my pair in the mail the day before the Warrior Dash 5K in Richmond, VA. Held up to the trail, the obstacles, and the James River without a single blister or hotspot. In NYC Central Park a week later for a little run with same great results. Used for biking and as a casual shoe in York Harbor, ME. Lastly stood up to the rocky trails of the White Mt. NH with superior grip on the trail in extremely damp conditions and on uneven surfaces. ALL WEATHER, ALL THE TIME PERFORMANCE FOOTWARE. BEST EVER MADE.

I started running in "minimalast" style shoes about a year ago. Before that I had always suffered from knee, back, and hip pain, and a bad case of plantar faciitis. The pain started to go away once I changed out of traditional running shoes. About 4 months ago I changed over to "toe shoes". I loved running in them and still do. All my pains went away. I once again loved running. However, the Army tends to make anything you like to do less fun. Well they did that by banning any toe shoes. I did not want to go back to the Nike Free 3.0's I had been running in. Although they were nice, the feeling was not the same. In come the Trail Glove. I was at the Exchange when I saw them. I had heard about them and wanted to give them a try. Being that I can use these for Army Physical Training and out Annual Physical Fitness Test I was thrilled. I snatched up the last pair in stock. I am glad I did. I love running in these shoes just as much as my toe shoes. They work great on my mountain road runs, and my trail running. I find it hard what shoe to wear. Now I said in my title, more the running. That is because these shoes have become my favorite shoe for another one of my weekly activities, mountain biking.

I have been wearing and running in the Trail Gloves for about 6 months now. I run distances between 2 and 6 miles regularly, perform speed and agility training 4-5 times per week in them, wear them during my workouts, and also use them for everyday casual wear. I started in the Vibram FF barefoot shoes and the NKE Run Frees. These shoes are more comfortable and less restrictive than the FFs. They flex better, feel the road more, and do a better job promoting the forefoot running strike than the Run Frees. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the durability (they get lots of use and lots of cycles through the laundry).

Several months ago, my fiance, after hearing me complain that I couldn't possibly run with him because of my bad back, convinced me to run anyway. I made my way through two different pairs of running shoes and the pains and injuries that went with them as I worked toward nailing down the barefoot running style. Then I found the Trail Gloves. Typically, I launched right into running in my new shoes and probably should have taken a little more time to let my feet and calves adjust, but all in all, after just over a month with my new shoes, my back has not suffered in the least because of running,

Absolutely, Hands down, the best shoe I have ever put on my foot. Extremely lightweight.Feels like you are wearing a sock without a shoe.

I was against these at first. Price seemed high for something so lightweight and what seemed flimsy. I decided to try on a pair and had to admit, I loved how they felt on my feet.
