    • 5 out of 5 Six months ago, I injured my ankle. I wanted a shoe that would give me good ankle support, was good for over pronating, and wasn't very heavy. This shoe has met my expectations. It is slightly heavier than running shoes I've worn in the past, but the trade-off is the support it gives my ankle. I will definitely buy this model again.

    • 5 out of 5 Just received these from Runningshoes.com. I severly overpronate on my right foot while the left foot is more neutral. I generally run 4 miles each day for roughly 20-25 miles per week. I'm on day 4 with these shoes now."

    • 5 out of 5 As a person who has worked on concrete and steel floors for over 30 years this is the first time I spent on shoes, I should have done it years ago. My feet are a mess but the shoes make it a pleasure to walk again.

    • 5 out of 5 I severly overpronate on my right foot while the left foot is more neutral. I generally run 4 miles each day for roughly 20-25 miles per week. I'm on day 4 with these shoes now. I'm a previous user of the 1225s and 1226s. I really loved my 1225s and used extensively for regular running and speed training. The 1226s left me wanting in the comfort department and just didn't feel the same overall in the heel/ankle support area. The new 1260s really are an improvement. Not only does the styling look better (I personally like the yellow/green/blue combination, but miss the 1225 gold and black) than the 1226, but you can feel the enhanced footbed especially in the toe area. It also feels like the heel/ankle support has been beefed up and I can really feel a difference when I start to push the performance envelope. As with previous models, it tends to run slightly small. I'm generally a size 10 in every other shoe (athletic and street alike) but need a 10.5 in these. Would definitely buy again and will continue to buy as long as it's in production. Let's keep this model the same for a while, thanks!!

    • 4 out of 5 As a previous owner of the NB 1223, 1224, and 1225, I was disappointed at the reviews of the 1226. Luckily NB also offered the 1260 as an upgrade. Compared to the 1225s these seem to be of slightly higher quality and comfort with one exception: The cushioning under the forward part of your foot feels thin. It's not that the cushioning isn't adequate, but it does feel thin and slightly firmer than the 1225. I do get a better sense of the terrain I'm moving across, but I do think that it encourages you to land more on your heel as a result. Perhaps the firmer cushioning leads to a longer-lasting sneaker - the 1225s did tend to wear out after a few months - but I've gotten used to the softer design. If the cushioning were slightly thicker I think these would be a great pair of sneakers.

    • 5 out of 5 The 1260's are an improvement over New Balance's 1226 model, which was a great shoe in terms of stability. New Balance kept the stability of the 1226 in the 1260, but made this model lighter. There is just the right amount of room in the toe box and cushion in the heel to make finishing every run strong just a little less painful.

    • 5 out of 5 I am in Afghanistan and these shoes walk on everything from concrete, asphalt, mud, sand to large rocks. They are extremely comfortable no matter what I am walking on. I wear a size 13W and finding shoes is sometimes very difficult, especially when ordering online since you cannot try them on. Every pair I have ever owned have always fit the same. I have tried other companies shoes, and though some of them fit ok, I always find my way back to NB.

    • Great sneaker for plantar fasciitis sufferers

    • 5 out of 5 I purchased these for my father who suffers from plantar fasciitis. He loves this sneaker and could not be happier with its quality and the way his feet feel.

Just like people, feet come in all different shapes. Because shoes that fit better perform better, New Balance knows that proper fit means multiple widths. New Balance is the only manufacturer to offer the majority of shoe models in multiple widths.

    Men's Shoe Widths

    What size are you?

    • In general, the regular Men's width is "D"; for Women, the regular width is "B".If the majority of shoes you own, or have purchased in the past, fit adequately, these are the widths you should select.
    • If the shoes you own tend to feel overly spacious in width, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. If the shoes you own tend to feel noticeably narrow or snug, then you should consider selecting a wider width size.
    • If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
    • Since feet always swell during the day, we encourage you to try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.

    Sizing Tips:

    • With respect to feel, your heel should fit snug with no slipping; the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes.
    • People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" while running or just after running or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.
    • New Balance shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.
    • Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year.
    • Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
    • Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

New Balance earned their position as the leader in Total Fit™ by offering more fit combinations than any other footwear company. In addition to shoe length and width, they use a shoe last. A shoe last is a 360 degree model of the foot used to create each shoe's heel width, instep height, toe box width and toe box depth. Though it's not the primary factor, in conjunction with length and width, the shoe last helps you achieve the best possible fit.
