Men's New Balance 890v2

the tongues are cut crooked and they fit different in each shoe. not happy at all. if i hadn't needed them so badly at that day i would have tried to return them. but after using them for a day, i realized it was going to be a hassle! But since you sent me this review request as you call it- i figured i express myself and then let it go! thanks for the opportunity to vent. i'm just grateful i bought a sale product and not full retail. quality control , NEEDS HELP! bye-bye , gina

I've been using the M890's as a general training shoe now for about a week. First, they are feather light. It almost feels as if you have no weight at all on your feet. Next, the cushion factor is very good. Each step lands on a quality absorption layer with plenty of support at the heel and leading forward toward the middle part of the foot. The stretch nylon fabric over the front allows plenty of air flow through to keep you cool. It also allows the shoe to sort of mold over your foot in an almost sock-like manner as apposed to a clunky shoe-type feeling. Hence, very comfortable over long periods. I've counted on New Balance for lots of shoes over the years and this one is a definite winner.

I was looking for a shoe that fit in between a heavily cushioned traditional shoe and the minimalist shoes that are all the rage lately. This is the perfect solution. It's comfortable, lightweight and has just enough cushioning to keep my old knees from crumbling as I run across pavement and sidewalks. The heel rise is less than most traditional shoes, which makes it good for mid-foot, fore-foot strikers. The fit seems pretty true to size -- slightly wide in the toe box, but nothing crazy. I've put about 3 months of running on this shoe and it has definitely become one of may favorites.

Love these shoes !!im a letter carrier so I need good shoes and I've been wearing new balance since I started and new balance is a great company..these are very light !and amazing if you do a lot of walking and running ..I wear them all the time and I'm getting ready to grab another pair in a different colour ..Highly recommend

I've had a pair of the grey/blue 890v2 for about a month now and am greatly impressed. I walk in hills at least an hour each day and have found these to be a delight. Especially impressive is that they: a) are very light; b) are most comfortable; c) provide the feet with a soft base; and yet d) allow the feet to "feel" the road. I will definitely buy another pair when these have worn out.

7 mm drop is better than most but 4 mm like in Kinvaras is better.

From the Rider for 6 yrs, I went minimalist through Kinvaras, Elixirs, Lunar racers and Kwiki lts. My gait is solid. Forefoot striking injury free old man I am...I stumbled onto the 890 and have loved it. Why? Light, yet not too soft. But FIGURE IT OUT GUYS!!!! MAKE THE DROP 7mm and you have the ultimate bomb. Better transition, lighter but with smoking protection. The 1400 doesnt have enough in the toe box.
