Men's Pearl Izumi Streak II

This shoe is good for people who do not need a lot of support. The shoe felt like it wrapped my foot. When I slipped it on, it hug the whole thing. Felt a 1/2 size smaller than expected but my toes didn’t hit the end. Pretty tight across the forefoot but I have wide feet.

The first thing I noticed is that it is extremely lightweight. It feels true to size. Perfect fit for me with or without socks. Very comfortable.

I purchased this shoe after doing some research on comparable running flats. I've been running marathons in the Mizuno Ronins over the last couple of years and have been very happy. I thought I would try the Pearl Izumi Streak 2's. I am very dissapointed in this shoe. The shoe sizing is very unusual. They fit very small. The toebox front is so rigid it left my toes hurting for days. There is no support or protection at the back of the shoe. Lastly, the sole gives no grip or traction. The only positive is that they are fairly light. I don't think weight justifies a poorly constructed shoe. I am going back to Mizuno's.
