Men's Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra 2

The shoes were shipped and arrived promptly. The shoe quality material and construction quality is excellent. I have not been running in them yet, as I'm still wearing them around getting used to their feel on my feet. As I previously stated, the overall quality is very good, which is why I prefer Salomom products. Very pleased with the shoes and the experience with the vendor.

I've had these shoes a month now. I was looking for something other than a atheletic/running shoe or work boot for work and everyday use and wanted a light weight hiker type boot or shoe. Salomon has always made great boots and I'd heard that the fit was very good too. I like the light weight of these. They fit just right and don't have a lot of slop. My work is inside and outside. I'm in and out of houses everyday in dry weather and wet. At first wear they were not very comfortable and needed more arch. I worked in a set of the Surefit insoles and they only got worse (way too hard). I've changed to a heat moldable insole and now the shoes are perfect for fit. I like the lacing system too. As for traction on dry/wet terrain inside and out, the shoe really sticks to the ground well and will trip you up if your not mindful. You will get used to it. The only type terrain these shoes don't like is smooth wet/damp surfaces like tile and terrrazo. They will creep and slip on you. Otherwise, I like the shoe and would recommend it to others. Back in 6 months to follow up.

These are great shoes, I used to have the original xa 3d ultra, which lasted a long time. I've advanced to the next level Salomon makes. these shoes are the real deal.

This is my second pair of Salomon shoes. I also own a pair of the gore-tex variety. They run a size too small so if you're a 10 get an 11. The fit in the heel and toe areas are tight and really throughout the shoe. I use them for everything. They even look good in jeans and pants. They are great for travelling and if you don't want to take another pair of running shoes they fulfil that role and more.

I've worn these shoes for just over one month and the left shoe is already coming apart on the right side by the ankle; it's fraying badly. I will contact Salomon to see if they will replace the shoes and update this review accordingly. On the positive side, they are very comfortable to wear.

bought this shoe after spending an hour trying different shoes. I was looking for something that I could use for road running as well as trail running. I was also looking for something for general walking. I probably log about 10 miles a week of mixed running. These shoes are very comfortable. I have had these shoes for about two months and today I look at the shoe and I see that there is a huge tear forming in the sole of the right shoe near the front big toe. So if you are looking for something sturdy and durable these are not it.
