Men's Saucony Guide 5

The first time i heard the guide 5s came out espeacially in that awsome royal and citron colorway , i had to get them. The 8mm offset and lighter weight is awsome compare to previous model. However i disliked the guide 5s because the tongue of the shoe i purchased was too short and felt and looked akward , tongue slippage on both shoes occur within minutes of wearing them around. I think It may have been a factory defect?

I run about 8 to 15 miles per week and have 3 pairs of Saucony. In my opinion, they are the best running shoes. These new ones (Guide 5) are truly perfect for me. I notice very little impact on my body with these and my feet feel great. It's hard to imagine that any shoe can do much better than these.

This shoe was recommended for me at a local running store. Great shoe. I've put about 250 miles on them since I have bought them. All shin and foot pain got considerably better after running in these shoes. Also the fit is great. I have a wide foot so its hard to find good running shoes. These are the best fitting shoe Ive found. If you have wider feet you might want to consider this shoe. I am going to buy another pair as soon as these wear out.

Absolutely have fallen in love with the Guide 5! Previously have ran in Guide 4 and Echelon 1 & 2. No complaints about any of those. But the Guide 5 offers EVERTHING that I need in a shoe: Less weight, lower profile(but not too low), good cushioning, and light stability for slight overpronation. The Guide 5 works great for my short speed runs, my mid-distance tempo runs, and my long distance slow runs for marathon training. Very impressive work by Saucony! I have been running a little over a year, and have been with Saucony products since the spring. I wore out two pairs of Guide 3's training and running four half-marathons this year. I have no issue with the Guide 3's except they seem to wear a little faster than some other brands I have run with. Anyhow, the Guide 5 with it's lighter weight and lower heel to toe offset is a nice improvement. Felt great right out of the box, and I love the Royal/Citron colors. They will be my shoe of choice for my upcoming first full marathon. I gave them a four on durability, as I have less than 50 miles on them so far.
