Merrell takes minimalism to the trails with the Mix Master. With a 4 mm heel-to-toe drop, this lightweight trail running shoe is not low enough to be part of Merrell's barefoot family. However, it does prove to be a close relative. It has an extremely flexible outsole with sticky rubber for traction. The bottom of the foot is supported by an air cushion in the heel and a shock absorption pad in the forefoot. The Mix Master keeps things cushioned without weighing you down. Its Merrell Float midsole is 10 percent thinner and 25 percent lighter with more feel and ground control. Get closer to the trail today.

I bought 'last year's' model in the red and the black. So comfortable and the wider toe area really keep my feet feeling cooler as well as a nice wiggle! I have to wear special L/R inserts in my shoes and they work great in these both because of the comfort of the shoe but also that the shoes are so light than even with the inserts they are so much better than normal shoes. The back of the shoe is high enough that the inserts don't push my heels over it. The RED is so cool looking! I get a lot of comments from people, especially since they are used to my heavy and clunky shoes I normally wear. Thanks! Well worth the money!

Wore them for a week and could not believe how comfortable and light in weight they were. Immediately ordered another pair in yellow. I have 4 pairs of sneaks that I do not wear as they are confining and on the heavy side, my new Merrells are neither. I wear them a lot and enjoy them immensely, thanks Merrell for a 1st rate product.
Got these for my son for school and his first words were, " Feels like I am walking on clouds". He love them.
