I previously had Mizuno Wave Rider 15's. They wore out, so I bought these. I have been very pleased with them so far, while running and while wearing them casually.

I've had 6 generations of Wave Riders that fit to my feet perfectly. The current generation has modifications that hurt my feet. "THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been wearing Wave Runners since 12 and never had a pair that didn't work for me.

I purchased a pair of these in Knoxville to prepare for a half marathon. So far, I have run about 100 miles and the top (near the toes) middle already has a hole in it. I would think that Muzuno would stand behind their product and send me a new pair.

so thankful the WR 16 is still available. Thinking the 17 would be an even improved experience, I bought a pair. To my disappointment, I developed a blister and ended up returning the shoes. Never a problem with the 16; could wear and race in them from the 'git-go'. Maybe the 18's will correct the problem . . . seemingly the 17 is just a bit tooooo snug!

My first pair of Mizunos. I've owned the 17s for a few weeks now, and have worn them on five (or so) runs. Satisfaction turned to disappointment with each wear. From an appearance standpoint, I love this shoe. It's also light, has a comfortable sole as a heel-to-toe striker, and is very breathable. Unfortunately, though, it seems that my ideal size would be between an 11 and 11.5; 11 is a bit too snug, 11.5 a bit too large. Also, the upper area close to the tongue rubs against my ankle (no matter where/how I tie the laces) causing noticeable discomfort. Hasn't caused a blister but definitely enough to distract from my run. It's entirely possible that these "cons" are limited to me. I will be returning the shoes but would still recommend them to others considering making the switch to Mizuno.

I had the 16's and loved them. I actually bought a few more 16's in case they discontinued. The 17's are that much better. I weigh 185 lbs and the 16's were great but the 17's handle me that much better. Way to go Mizuno. Nailed it.

These shoes feel light and fast. Could use more cushioning in the forefoot though. Might be an issue on long runs for some. It does have good cushioning in the heel. If you heel strike first you may really enjoy this shoe. The service at RunningShoes.com is excellent. Great place to purchase shoes!

It doesn't seem to have the character and strength of previous Wave Riders. Mizuno seems to have dropped a lot of the good of the previous Wave Riders. I'm planning on looking for a 15 or 16.
