Nathan Sprint Plus

I saw an ad for this product in Runners World magazine. I immediately thought I had to have this. I ordered one for myself and one for my wife. I have large hands and although the item fits easily in my hand it is not so easy to squeeze while running to get water. My wife can't squeeze it well enough to get an adequate amount of water. She says she'll never use it. It seems that if this were a round bottle it may be easier to squeeze. I run many 5K's. I would say this is good for these types of races. Beyond a 5K you'll run out of water and have this unwelcome passenger stuck to your hand. I also have a Nathan water belt with two of the same bottles. I got this hand held one because I'm not extremely fond of running with a belt and two water bottles. The hand held seemed a good alternative. The nozzle is an improvement over the regular ones that come with my belt version. The belt version bottles have pull type nozzle-caps - another inconvenience while running. The hand held is not a pull type but instead a pressure type that releases the water when the bottle is squeezed. That is a big plus while running and would have made this hand held type great if not for the awkwardness associated with squeezing it. For the 20 bucks I paid it was still worth it.

This is the perfect water bottle to carry on a walk or run. With no caps to be fiddling with, the water comes out when you put it to your mouth and squeeze a little but doesnt spill out when you are running with it at your side. You can adjust the strap to fit your hand easily. very comfortable to carry.

I bought this item for my longer runs of 7 miles or more. Works perfect! It is lightweight, fastens to your hand securely without having to grip the bottle. Hardly feel its there!

The size and strap of the Sprint handheld make it great for running. The cap is a bit tricky to screw on correctly. I often need to screw the cap on twice to get it right. The strap can be removed for cleaning, but it is not easy. My main gripe is the cap. The slightest squeeze and the bottle squirts water everywhere. This makes transporting a full bottle to the run somewhat tricky. I have set out for a run with a half full bottle and wet clothes/bag after an accidental squeeze. The solution I found was to buy the "Nathan Nutrition Hydration Flask 10 oz. 3 pk". I did not need 3 replacement bottles, so split the pack with another runner. The caps on these bottles have an orange rubber top that can be pulled out to open the bottle or pushed in to close it. Having a second flask also allows me to swap them out for cleaning.

Gripping is bad on bad wrists, so I turned to the handheld running bottles. This one worked well. It didn't leak at all (yay). My only minor complaints are that the part that the whole thing is overall a bit big for my tiny tiny hands. The part that goes over your hand seemed a bit loose-ish, even when I cinched it up. Also, getting the bottle out of the holder to clean is a bit of a challenge.

Love it....Fill it with Ice so by the time I get into my run it will have melted some and stays cooler. Only problem is the inside will absolutely freeze your hand when you first take off but if you're like me in a short time you'll be hot and it won't bother you as much. Definitely a must have on these hot running days.

I've had this for a month now, taken it on a dozen runs, and I love it. The bottle is securely attached to the strap, the strap attaches securely to my hand, and it's just the right size for a 5 mile run. The bottle is removable from the strap for washing (it's tight, but does come off). The threading of the cap is tricky, but doesn't leak at all once you get it right. Overall, I couldn't ask for more!
