    • 5 out of 5 From playing sports continuously through high school and being a Marine Corps poolee, I have to say, these are by far the best shoes I've ever worn. Unlike all the other shoes I've had, these don't hurt my feet to run in and are extremely comfortable. I'd recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for high quality running shoes and wants to show off their pride of their favorite service. Semper Fi.

    • 5 out of 5 These shoes are extremly comfortable and the size was right on target. This is the third pair of running shoes I have purchased from New Balance and plan on continued purchasing of their products. Overall these shoes are very comfortable and do not rub and part of my feet.

    • 1 out of 5 These shoes are a major disapointment--they do not have enough cushioning on the bottom. I wear running shoes because I'm on my feet all day, but these do not have much sole support. They are also clunky and too wide.

    • Great for Gym

    • 3 out of 5 I'm prior military and was introduced into the new balance running shoes back into 2004 and i was really impressed with the comfort and durability of the shoe i had. like everything after time wear and tear comes into affect and i had to replace them. one i passed by a runners store in nyc and decided to treat myself to a new pair and the sales associate told me the 993 are the new version of the pair i had so i ditched out good chunk of change because i knew it was going to be an investment well worth it from my past experience. to my slight disappointment they're good but not better than their predecessor, they feel a bit flimsier and they tend to make your feet sweat a lot and the insoles feel thinner to me i wish i hadn't thrown out my old pair but i guess ill stick these out.

    • 5 out of 5 I purchased the NB993'S roughly one month ago and I must say that I am very impressed. The build quality is very high and they feel great on my feet. These shoes look great as casual day to day shoes and perform amazing during runs and best of all they are MADE IN USA! I am a Paratrooper in the United States Army and it makes me proud that New Balance continues to domestically produce great shoes, thank you for dedicating these shoes to the US Army and for making them in America!

    About New Balance

New Balance collage Over a century ago, New Balance started manufacturing arch supports. Just 70 years later, it has become one of the foremost leaders in sports apparel and footwear. Even before branching out into shoes and athletic gear, it was dedicated to satisfying the needs of the everyday athlete. Known worldwide for its attention to fit, it provides shoes in an extensive range of widths and sizes. The company adheres to the belief that the better the fit, the better the performance. Maintaining five manufacturing facilities in the United States, New Balance continues to meet and exceed its time-tested quality standards.

Having the right fit is essential to performing your best, no matter what your activity. That's why New Balance offers the majority of their shoes in multiple widths, from narrow (2A) to extra-extra-wide (6E). New Balance is the only manufacturer to offer so many width options, ensuring you the best possible fit.

    Women's Shoe Widths
    4A 2A B D 2E 4E
    X-Narrow Narrow Medium Wide X-Wide XX-Wide

    Men's Shoe Widths
    2A B D 2E 3E 4E 6E
    X-Narrow Narrow Medium Wide Wide X-Wide XX-Wide

    What size are you?

    • In general, the regular Men's width is "D"; for Women, the regular width is "B".If the majority of shoes you own, or have purchased in the past, fit adequately, these are the widths you should select.
    • If the shoes you own tend to feel overly spacious in width, you should consider selecting a narrower width size. If the shoes you own tend to feel noticeably narrow or snug, then you should consider selecting a wider width size.
    • If your feet seem "between" sizes and you cannot decide which size to select, we suggest you choose the larger size. You can make adjustments for a better fit with socks, insoles, or a different lacing pattern.
    • Since feet always swell during the day, we encourage you to try shoes on later in the day when your feet are at their largest.

    Sizing Tips:

    • With respect to feel, your heel should fit snug with no slipping; the midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight; and you should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes.
    • People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" while running or just after running or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.
    • New Balance shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.
    • Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year.
    • Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.
    • Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

New Balance earned their position as the leader in Total Fit™ by offering more fit combinations than any other footwear company. In addition to shoe length and width, they use a shoe last. A shoe last is a 360 degree model of the foot used to create each shoe's heel width, instep height, toe box width and toe box depth. Though it's not the primary factor, in conjunction with length and width, the shoe last helps you achieve the best possible fit.
