New Balance lightened and brightened things up this year at Outdoor Retailer 2011. The running shoe company’s booth proved to be no break from the OR Show madness. Claire Wood of New Balance sat down to show us what they have in store for runners in spring 2012.
In the coming year, we will see an update to the popular New Balance 890. The next generation of REVlite is set to be one of the lightest, neutral everyday trainers on the market. It’s REVlite technology makes it 30 percent lighter than standard midsoles.
Another update comes to the New Balance 1080. The update will bring runners lower to the ground because its heel height is slightly lower. Additionally, a new heel technology called N2 will appear on the upcoming shoe. It includes Nitrogen-injected TPU creating a cushioning yet durable feel. Both styles are expected to launch in spring 2012.
