Women's Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12

This shoe is a huge disappointment. I have been running in the Adrenaline GTS series for the past 10 years and Brooks really messed up a good thing with the GTS 12 model. This shoe is significantly heavier than its predecessors and feels bulky and awkward. I am a competitive triathlete and use this shoe as a trainer for my longer runs. I have done about 6 runs in these shoes and every run ends with me stopped on the side of the road in pain because my joints ache so severely from these shoes. As soon as I switch to my other shoe (GTS 11) everything returns to normal.

I've started walking 4 and 5 miles daily in preparation for a 3 day walk. I've had foot trouble for years (plantar fasicitis and bunionectomies). Wearing these shoes I have the support I need, without custom orthotics. Over the years I've worn Mizuno, Saucony and Nike running shoes with and without motion control. I've worn them for walking and to run 5ks. None of them have equaled the Brooks Adrenaline 12 for comfort and control.

I purchased these shoes after getting my stride checked at a local running store. The difference when I run is outstanding. I've been working on the C25K program since January 1st, and hit a wall in week 4 when shinsplints prevented me from continuing to run before being exhausted did. These shoes are *fantastic* for over pronaters like me.

I jog 2-3 miles/day and felt an immediate difference. Well worth the investment. Add the 1/2 size they suggest to get the fit you need.

I have been an avid Nike lover for a while. After I was having shin splints, tendon pain, etc...I decided to go to chain shoe store and get fitted for shoes. I found out that I over-pronate! They suggested Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12. My husband bought them for me, and I love them! No more pain, splints, etc. Highly recommend these shoes if you over-pronante!

I wear these shoes to work for 12+ hours a day. I thought they were very comfortable and supportive until they came out with the Trance. Now I like the Trance a lot better but due to a change in our uniform policy I'm forced to go back to the Adrenaline so that I can get black. I look forward to Brooks coming out with the Trance in black, if they ever do. After wearing the Adrenalines again after just 2 days my feet feel bruised on the bottom. And they are very ugly in black. I feel like I'm wearing man shoes!!

Brooks have been my running shoe for the past 10 years. I love them! But, I have been struggling to find a new replacement shoe since they discontinued the Axioms. I was told the Adrenaline could accomadate mild pronators, but I think you really need to be a moderate to heavy pronator for this shoe. They felt very "corrective", as well they are too stiff in the heel to mid-foot area. I'm 5'5 120lbs and they're too stiff for me. I ran 3 times in them, varied from 3-7 miles, but ended up with very sore feet because of lack of flexibility. I have a narrow foot and low volume foot, and found that although the saddle really craddled my foot (I like the new lacing system) there was too much volume in the toe box and it was really wide for having orderd a 2A Narrow. I'm a true size 9 but I've worn a 9.5 in previous Brooks models, 9.5 in the Adrenaline is atleast 1/2 size too big. Customer Service has been great, answering all my questions and giving great advice. But I'll keep on searching for my replacement shoe.

I have been a novice runner for several years. I started with the GTS 8 and just trained and ran a Half marathon in the GTS 11. I didn't encounter any injuries or aches and pains. However, the minute I strarted training in the GTS 12, i started to encounter pain and stiffness in my legs after running. They felt heavy while running. I plan on returning them and finding another pair of GTS 11s!
