Women's Merrell Bare Access Arc

I cannot sing enough praise to these Merrell Arcs. They felt like a true barefoot run. they let me feel the ground, they have cushion enough for the concrete, they are light as a feather, the Vibram soles allow for great flexibility, they are equally awesome on groomed trails and concrete the toe box is roomy and comfy. The toe box may be the biggest plus point there is. My toes are not cramped at all and yet the shoe is not loose. Perfect. I think I’m going to buy a backup pair. I would like to fill a pool with these shoes and swim in it, Scrooge McDuck style, just to show my love.

I have been on my feet a lot more for the last year because of a job change and it has caused a lot of foot pain for me. I have tried several different sneakers/shoes, but this one is the best for me. It helps me enter the minimalist world without throwing me into a complete minimalist shoe because it offers a bit more support than say the FiveFingers. It offers more arch support and a less restricting toe-box than any of the other comparable shoes I have tried and this helps me a lot. The shoe naturally makes me strike more mid and front foot instead of with my heal and it aligns my body better, improving my posture. I definitely recommend this shoe!

I absolutely love these shoes, and am very sad that I cannot give them a five star review, and will not purchase them again. I specifically bought them for parkour training, the extra 4mm of padding compared to the pace glove (which I also own and love) is beneficial. They are flexible, grippy, and let you feel the ground, yet they give your foot extra protection. I have never had a shoe for parkour that I loved immediately, but these shoes were the exception. They have been excellent for training in every way but one. I expect my shoes to get beat up pretty quickly, but I have only owned these for a month and will be lucky if I can wear them for another week. The foam near the toe has worn away to the point that I can see the fabric underneath. The Vibram part is excellent and is barely showing any signs of wear, but the foam is not sturdy and is quickly falling apart. These shoes might be fine for road running, but they aren’t going to hold up to anything that stresses them in a slightly different way. Merrell, these shoes have the potential to be awesome like the rest of your line, please make them a little bit more sturdy!

AWSOME SHOES! I have always liked the way Barefoot shoes felt on my feet, but needed a little more padding underfoot for my sensitive feet. This blends the best of both worlds. These are by far the best running/walking shoes I have ever had. The only complaing I have is that I felt like the shoes are a little on the short side. I was able to wear them, but am buying another pair in a half size up for more comfort.

This is my first experience with a minimalist shoe and I am very happy with it so far. I have a wide foot, narrow heel, and I am very sensitive to shoes that don't allow my my foot to spread. Not a problem with this shoe. The toe box is very roomy. It is a tad bit looser in the heel than I would like, but going down half a size made the toe box fit a little bit snug. After emailing my question to Merrell, it was recommended that I go with the toe box that allows my foot to fully spread if the heel was not loose. I am probably compromising a little in the heel, but that does not seem to be a problem. I have only been walking in the shoes (no running yet), but I am not having any problems with my feet. I ordered this shoe and the barefoot PACE GLOVE at the same time but the Glove had a narrower toe box by comparison.

I got these barefoot sneakers about 4 weeks ago. when i bought them i told the salesman in the local store i went to that i thought i needed a 1/2 size bigger but he insisted they would. be fine. my toes seem to push against the front when i walk...i think if i had a size 8 instead of a 7 1/2 they would be fine love the light feel just wish they were bigger.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own!! I have never had a better fitting, lightweight shoe. I just can't say enough about them. I was really unsure about getting these shoes, and how they would feel when I pulled them out of the box. I have a very high instep and there is no arch to speak of. But once I put them on, it is amazing!!!! they fit your foot like a glove! I have seven other pairs of Merrell shoes and I love them all!!!!
