The XR Crossmax is a door-to-trail training shoe for neutral, high-mileage runners. The trail runner is built to be as competent on the way to the trail and it is on the trail. It was designed with a traction outsole that is very capable on smooth surfaces as well as on the trail. Runner's World magazine named XR Crossmax a "Best Debut" for trail runners.

Received sooner than expected. Very satisfied with order. Shoes are light, comfortable and very durable. I ran a full trail marathon without breaking them in and had an excellent run. I would highly recommend them.

This is a great shoe. Last night I ran 7 miles in them for my first run and had no problems. I don't have any intention of changing to another shoe. I would suggest getting 1/2 size smaller than normal size because they seem to run a little big. I like the bigger toe box on these.

Ordered these for my Galapagos adventure in October. Wore them to hike up an active volcano and they did great on the lava rock and normal dirt trails. We hiked over 10 miles and I had no foot discomfort or pain whatsoever. A guy in my group also had the same brand and he said he used them recently to do a 100 mile run in the Sahara desert and they did a great job. Definitely worth it for extreme conditions and long hikes!
