Women's Saucony Guide 5

I had a pair last year, getting another one now. Great shoes, comfortable, I have a lot of feet issues, low back pain/ issues, I am safe to run my 10-miler every Sunday in these shoes!

I have a pair of guide 5 shoes which will be a yr old July 1, 2012. They have the original insoles and are still very comfortable to wear. I have to replace them because I'm literally walking out of them. I have a pinched nerve in each foot and severe arthritis in my left and these shoes don't allow any pain at all. A 5 star review cause there aren't 6 stars to give it!!

First time I bought the Saucony guide 5. Tons of curshion BUT I can not get past the shin pain I have? I am a new runner and for the past 3 months these have been great. Now my gait is off and I can't get my stride back??

I've run in the Guides since the FIRST one...I love this new 5 but it is fitting alittle looser than the Guide 4's...I bought 5 pairs of 4's over the last year and truly love the fit. I do like the updated style, comfort and feel of them on the run but just a nip bigger/looser!

I bought a second pair in the grey for running outside on muddy days and to alternate with my first pair.

I have had the Woman's Guide shoe for almost 3 years now. First I had the 3 series, then 4, and now 5. The only previous downfall I had was that I did not like the styles and color choices. I got the black and pink style this time and LOVE it. Because the shoe is mainly black, they do not look dirty as quickly. Also, the 5 series seems lighter than the other series. I have tried to find another shoe that works better for me, but have failed every time. If you pronate toward the inside like me, this shoe is a great solution with its extra durability on the inside middle of the shoe. If you aren't sure if you pronate, I would suggest finding a store that will help you determine your running style. After I did this, I noticed a huge difference in my running.

I was really excited to see that the new ProGrid comes in some stylish colors! However, when they arrived I was disappointed with the quality. From far away they look ok, but up close they look cheap. Additionally the shoe laces are made of stretchy material so they stretch out and the shoes get looser during runs. I like that the new design is more low profile and lighter, but they will take some getting used to if you've been running on the 4s. Overall, I think I will be looking for a new style after nearly 3 years with ProGrids.

Yes I would recommend them! I love the variety of colors, with always a hint of black. They coordinate with many workout outfits!

My feet don't have high enough arches, and its difficult to find shoes that don't aggravate my metatarsal nueropathy- these shoes are awesome! I think a lot of the negative feedback would have been avoided if folks would take the time to go to a local dealer and try on the shoes... never assume that two models will fit the same, even from the same manufacturer. These are lightweight, supportive and the cushioning is the best I've found. I'm new to Saucony- but these shoes have made me a loyal customer. Not every style works for every foot, so do your homework, try stuff on and enjoy!!

Saucony was my first running shoe and has been my only brand, they have gotten me thorugh 5 marathons and an Ironman. I have always worn Progrid Guides. I was SO excited about the 5s coming out. They look great. On long runs though, my feet are DYING in the arches, a problem I never had with the 4s (or previous shoes). SO very disappointed in this shoe, feel like I wasted $100.
