Women's Saucony Hattori

I run recreationally on a daily basis (2-6 miles/day). I am also a barefoot advocate and have always found my running shoes the most awkward pair of shoes I wear. I used to run in Nike Prestos and loved them until someone told me I was destroying myself with so little support. I found more injuries from wearing a heavily cushioned sneakers than the many, many miles I had run in my Prestos. I decided to go back to a minimalist sneaker and the Saucony Hattori has really impressed me thus far. It feels secure and very natural. It's an extension of my foot with just enough padding to not feel every pebble. They're a little tough to get on and off, but it definitely makes it feel more secure once it's on.

I've been told standard sizing is in effect and since I am going to be using this most likely to get into minimalist running, You wanted to make sure that you have about a half inch between the front of the shoe and your big toe.

these are the most comfortable pair of shoes my wife has owned! they run a little small so order a half size or a full size bigger.

This shoe does run slightly small like everyone has said, but it should fit like a glove or sock (really).I went a half size up and that was plenty, any more and it would be too much. just the right amount of sole for me. I have run 5 mile runs in them and a 3 mile run that was a bit down hill and I found my foot sliding forward in the shoe so that I had to push back to fix it. I have a narrow foot so if your feet are narrow to very narrow you may have an issue with a sloppy shoe. Light as a feather and fun to run in. Great in the rain!

LOVE these shoes! Like running in moccasins - you feel the terrain. I run ~40+ miles/week in Nike Free (which I also like) and just ~10 or so miles/week so far in the Saucony Hattori, so they're my recovery day shoes so far, but so comfy I hope to run long in them. Size up at least 1/2. I wear an 8.5 in Nike Free, a 9 in the wmns Hattori is barely a fit (but meant to be snug.) Wide/soft enough toe box to accomodate bunions pretty well, but I ordered a second pair in the men's 8 for a slightly wider fit for that reason.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. It almost feels like you are not wearing anything. The top part has an elastic characteristic and the material itself is so soft you hardly feel it. Seeing that it is part of this minimalist running shoe, it definitely fits in the category. I tried it for running and it did not really feel right for my feet. My feet are flat and so they need a little bit of arch support, and these shoes do not provide any to speak of. However, for normal wear, it is fantastic. I would say that if someone does not need a lot of arch support, this is a good choice. It is real pretty too.
